MOO HOO! The calf has arrived!
On Tuesday 20th May, 2014 our calf arrived.
Never a dull moment, we had a wild chicken chase when the truck driver’s dog chased one of our awesome chickens.
Here are some photos of our meet and greet with our new calf.
Have a look at our excited faces.

Wow, it looks like your calf is already loving the warm welcome to Hamilton North. Great work!
From Bessie
Love your work Hamilton North Primary School!
wow so much info on what’s happening keep up the good work
Hey did you know that sheep have a field of vision of around 300 degrees, allowing them to see behind themselves without having to turn their head?
Thank you Ava , great fact!
I can’t wait to see the calf painted, I think it’s going to look great.
It is great reading more about Bessie. I love eating chocolate as well.
Hi Bessie what’s your favorite chocolate to eat😀😀😀
Hi Grace, I love ALL chocolate! But mostly I eat Cadbury… especially anything with nuts or fruit!
I wonder what we will paint on the calf 🐑🐑🐑🐮🐮🐮
On the 18th photo,is there any mark on one
of the legs
I think that might be its tail swished around onto its leg?
We have an idea that we could try and spin or weave some of the wool we collected from the shearing day when ‘Shaun the shearer’ came to visit our school. We could even dye some of it? Maybe plait some, that might be easier?
